Folks, your moderators need some help!
We are repeatedly receiving virus attachments addressed to s-trains owner
or s-scale owner. SOMEBODYs (yes plural, the messages are coming from
multiple sources) that have these addresses in their address book has a
BAD VIRUS. ALL of you, PLEASE, make sure that you have anti-virus
software. If it is old, get a new one or get an upgrade. Make sure that
you update the antivirus directory frequently. Please note that upgrade
and update are TWO different things. BOTH are necessary. From your
owner's manual or software website, learn how to verify that your update
actually took effect (check ABOUT or check preferences). If you don't do
this, you are putting your computer, and everybody else at risk. Be
aware, you are most at risk if you are using MS Outlook for your e-mail.
Alternatives include Netscape Messenger, Eudora, and Pegasus. I'm told
that if you use MS Address Book you can also be at risk. YUP, the virus
writers like to target MS.
