Yo: I have generated a document (with help from members of the Bristol Club) on how to build close frog switches and it is not posted on the Bristol club web site. The first one I built took about 16 hours, since then I have built over 50 and I have it down to 4 hours, including the power mechanism. The great thing about close frog switches is that you can run both Hi-rail and Scale thought them. That was one of my criteria's when I designed my layout.
Hope it helps some of you. Also, you may want to look at our club car. Anyone who lives or has visited New Hampshire seen at least 2 things: highway signs with the old man of the mountain printed on them and license plates with the slogan "Live Free or Die". The North Stratford RR had about 100 box cars painted up with the old man of the mountain logo and the slogan Live Free or Die. A must have for all you New Englanders, although I may be bias being a club member.
