Hi All I picked up a 293 & tender at a meet last weekend... Found it in a box under the table.... I am cleaning , repairing and just tuning it up for the layout... I noticed that the wires from the engine go to a jack, however the boiler shell is not drilled & tapped to hold the jack??? I believe it is original, but I can' be sure....... My question,, Is the 293 normally hard wired to the tender, ( if so what type of insulation, this one is the clothe stuff), or is there supposed to be a jack & plug?
