Group, Has anyone seen the K-Line Big Boy that is reported to be built to 1/64 scale (S gauge) according to the review in the January issue of CTT? I sent K-Line an email asking if they had any plans to offer the Big Boy as a complete S gauge locomotive. If I recieve a reply, I'll post it.
To convert one to S gauge looks like a far amount of work. Judging from the photos in CTT, the front end looks like it would need at least a new steam chest. Again from the photos, the steam chest appears to near HO size. On the plus side if the model is designed to go around O-31 curves (15.5" radius) it should have no trouble with AF curves (19" radius) except for the overhang of the boiler. Any comments?
