Hmm, As has been pointed out to me, and somehow I'd overlooked it, there ARE two companies today who DO answer customers' questions--interesting that they're both S manufacturers; SHS and AM. And I'm certain that most, if not all, of the S manufacturers do respond well to questions. So I will rephrase the question--"What large, household-word type, company would do that today?"
