Hi, I can't answer your question directly and sincerely hope someone else can. However, here's an idea. I use epoxy to fix wheels that are broken away from the whitewall hubs. Before you replace the axel, you might consider mixing up an epoxy and trying that. Allow plenty of time past what the manufacturer suggests as a cure time. It just might hold, and if you're going to replace the axel anyway, what do you have to lose? Does anyone on this list have a good reason why this guy shouldn't try my idea before replacing the axel?
I recently bought a cherry 332AC at the York, PA show last fall for one sweet deal. I love it, even though it's the early model without the whistle and without the pulmor. It's Classic Flyer to me.
