Dear Curtis,
We looked into this a few years back after Wellspring had owned
Lionel for a year or so. We were told by Wellspring that they were
indeed in the business of buying and selling companies, but the they
felt that Lionel would have more value for resale with the American
Flyer line than without and the difference would be more than the
American Flyer line is worth by itself. We never talked numbers, but we
realized that it was not going to happen at that time.
