Roy, I've had the matching yellow rocket car since 1960 & I'm looking for a box car!! As a kid, I bought the rocket car at a hobby shop (in Jamestown, ND) & never could figure out why it didn't work. Forty years later I figured out the mystery - An article in Classic Toy Trains, explained that it was a part of a pair of cars meant to work together by the connecting electrical jumper! My guess is the hobby shop owner split up the Defender set & sold it peice meal. I've always wondered where it's mate is. I'm sure that the hobby shop owner had no idea what the complete Defender set would be worth years later.
