I've had the matching yellow rocket car since 1960 & I'm looking for 
a box car!!  As a kid, I bought the rocket car at a hobby shop (in 
Jamestown, ND) & never could figure out why it didn't work.  Forty 
years later I figured out the mystery - An article in Classic Toy 
Trains, explained that it was a part of a pair of cars meant to work 
together by the connecting electrical jumper!  My guess is the hobby 
shop owner split up the Defender set & sold it peice meal. I've 
always wondered where it's mate is.   I'm sure that the hobby shop 
owner had no idea what the complete Defender set would be worth years 
later.
