If these are made from the same tooling as some of Marx's "medium 
quality" cars (as opposed to their "deluxe" line, which was too big 
for S), then we certainly will have an inexpensive alternative to 
Flyonel. For myself, I've been converting Marx plastic (and metal) 
rollingstock to S for years, so K-Line hasn't opened any new vistas 
for me. That's ok, I have plenty of modern projects to keep me 
occupied for some time. :^)

As for scalers using K-line S for bashing, I'd bet any scaler having 
such a bent has already done so with old Marx. It'll be interesting 
to see how K-Line does with these offerings. I wish them well, but to 
me it all smacks of "too little too late." Still, I may buy 1 or 2 
just for jollies, if the roadname is right.
