Hi Jeff....it sounds like your overload(circuit breaker) could be "toast".
You could try and by-pass this(temporarily of course!) re-assemble and try
it on your test track. I must stress that you should feel confident in doing
this type of electrial repair and understand the safety issues, to avoid
personal injury and possible fire hazard. I would recommend getting an VOM
meter. You don't need an expensive one($20) and if you learn all it can do,
it can be most useful.  Al Kielek
