HYDROCAL: I purchased a 80# bag for $18 +/- at a building supply co.
here in Denver. Only use it for castings, such as rock faces, tunnel
portals, house foundations etc, etc,. For softer landscaping I whip up
news paper,( free ) with a paint mixer in an electric drill en tell it is
pulp, mix it 3 to 1 latex paint (usually purchases at garage sales for
less than $1 gal. even if it and been previously frozen it still works
good) color is optional, but I prefer green. Paint it over window screen,
or paper towels supported with cardboard lath shims or what ever, I use
gray landscaping cloth as used under rock landscaping. This mixture goes
on like cake frosting, dries in about one hour, color is thru out, it's
cheep, it's flexible, it's fast and cleans up with water. The only
downfall it is not fire proof as with hydrocal.
