Greetings, After reading Scott Dee's post about riveting, I thought I would pose these questions and statement.
I have seen an arbor press as low as $17.95 in either Harbor Freight's catalog, or a J & L Industrial supply sale flyer. It looked suitable in size for more than what we do, but I don't know anything about the tips that would be needed to fit the rivets. Question 1: Anyone try an arbor press like these? Question 2: Where, or how, do you obtain the tips for presses such as these? I have seen the riveting tools in S-Gaugian and CTT (Yes, I subscribe. I'll admit it, I'm a cross gauger!) (As well as a closet collector!) Question 3: Are these any good? Well, a little harsh, but do they work well? Question 4: What would be the recommendation from the list for an occassional riveter? Your opinions are always welcome, be they in line with mine or not. S incerely, Bill Trefts (David's "near-brother") Hi, Linda! ________________________________________________________________ Sign Up for Juno Platinum Internet Access Today Only $9.95 per month!
