About 6 years ago I took a bunch of grey roadbed and discolored black roadbed and took
some flat black spray paint I had in the garage and went at it. i would be hardpressed
to look at the layout and determine what is painted, original or repro.
Regarding nailingtrack with roadbed into plywood. I had better luck with 3/4"
nails. The 5/8" don't have enough bite with the thickness of the roadbed. Steve Roche
