When applying chemical agents to the track, be careful not to use any substance that might attack the various rubber substances in traction tires (pul-mor).
A cloth diaper makes an excellent track wiper -- just don't use it as a turban when you are through. Some Flyer track at least appears to have been plated with cadmium, which can be carcinogenic.
