Hi Marcelo,

Could you try enabling logging and see what you get? No guarantees - PuTTY doesn't do anything very special about opening the connection, but it might give hints on where things go wrong and possibly what settings might affect that.

Old instructions at http://s2putty.sourceforge.net/troubleshooting.html, but basically edit the profile, find the logging tab, turn on logging and set the filename.
