Hi,

having read the release notes in detail for Python 3.0 I am have
reached the conclusion that it might be a very good idea to wait to
Python 3.0.1 :). The main issue that remains to be sorted out is as I
mentioned earlier that all the various Python packages have to catch
up with Python 3.0 and some are struggling with the 2.5 -> 2.6
transition.

One very interesting tidbit of info is that in the section about
porting C extensions from earlier Python versions to 3.0 Cython is
named and recommended.
