Hi folks, The Python standard documentation [1] has a section called "Python HOWTOs", which lists various in-depth documents on specific topics. I like to get people's comments on creating a new section in the Sage standard documentation [4] called "Sage HOWTOs". This new section can include documents with in-depth discussion on various topics, and possibly to use optional packages in the discussion.
At the moment, our policy is that tutorials that use optional packages cannot be included in the Sage tutorial [5]. See also ticket #7499 [6] for some ideas on how to work around this policy. Although Nathann's patch at #6774 [2] is refused for inclusion in the Sage tutorial, I can see that it's possible to put his graph theory tour [2], and his linear programming tour [3], in this new "Sage HOWTOs" section. That should make two new tutorials for that new section. Any comments?
