Sorry, I was suggesting there were *no* updates to standard packages. I realise that updates often fix problems - often very annoying ones. But the introduction of new standard packages often creates new problems. If we could just find bugs that can be patched without this, we could squash a couple of hundred of the things.

I believe that is probably quite practical.
