Hi all!

At ticket #10294, Mike Hansen gave a very helpful remark. He pointed
to a thread at
http://groups.google.com/group/linux.kernel/browse_thread/thread/5a2b00e35b0864a7

Our system administrator already answered to me that the solution
suggested in this thread (or in another thread that is linked) looks
very promising: There is a "low latency mode" for pseudo terminals
that apparently can be chosen by some kernel configuration. He will
not be here tomorrow, but he thinks that the problem is likely to be
resolved on Tuesday.

Only he wonders why seemingly every distribution except Debian and
Ubuntu is using the patch, or why a problem on a common distribution
like Debian or Ubuntu has not been complained about by other Sage
users before.

Cheers,
Simon
