Yes (though not necessarily 4.7, I'll need to check).

Yes.  In particular it could well be a new version of firefox.

I just tried the same on my mini Toshiba netbook + ubuntu 11.04 +
sage-4.7, and got no output just the error message:

FT_Get_Advance

(I have chrome running already, and am typing into it right now).

One more mystery!
