It's just the test suite. In my spkg, I tried to be compatible with old
versions of SageMath as much as possible (working around ancient bugs in
Singular, using alternative import paths in Sage, etc).

Another possibility: If an old SageMath version is used, then the test suite
is run, but when the test results are summarised, it is mentioned that
the errors may be caused by a changed output format.
