As I said, gentoo prefix / lmona.de can do that in principle. In practice 
it often doesn't work though because the "gentoo prefix" == user-space 
package manager receives much less testing than the gentoo == system-level 
package manager. Or the wrong kind of testing; gentoo prefix surely works 
great on top of gentoo but coverage on other distros/OSX/... is bad in my 
experience.
