Hi, I'm Krishnakant Ammanamanchi. I am currently a second year student pursuing Masters in Mathematics at IIT Madras. I have been an active user of SageMath for the past couple of years. I find the project on p-adic field extension quite interesting and would like to contribute to sage math.I did a reading project on p-adic numbers following the book P-adic Analysis Compared with Real by Svetlana Katok(up-till chapter 3). And I am in the process of completing chapter 3 of Neal Koblitz's book on P-adic numbers. For number theory I am currently crediting the Algebraic number theory course (We are following Pierre Samuel's book on ANT). I am good at Python and C. My final year undergraduate project was on image processing using openCV. I would be setting up sage in the next couple of days. I would like to know if there are any other prerequisites for this topic and any suggestions on how to get started ?
