Hello!!!! I am Nitin and I would like to contribute to Sage projects for GSoC 2020 and beyond. I have a small query. In Sage's developer's guide its mentioned that we can alternatively fork and create a pull request at github <http://github.com/sagemath/sage> which will automatically fetch our code and open a ticket on the trac server. But the info on github <http://github.com/sagemath/sage> page suggests otherwise. Is it fine to just make pull requests on Github? Please guide me on this.
