Hello Mentors, My name is Gaurav Suryawanshi. I'm a fourth year Integrated Masters' student from the department of Mathematics at Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur pursing Mathematics and Computational Sciences. I've been studying mathematics since past 4 years, My major expertise lie in abstract algebra and abstract spaces. I've also worked on python a lot since past 2-3 years mainly working on tensorflow models for Reinforcement Learning. I've used sagemath before but only limited to numerical computation.
I've already read main page <https://wiki.sagemath.org/GSoC/Students> and made myself familiar with Sage, trac, and working towards it's source code. I read the projects mentioned here <https://wiki.sagemath.org/GSoC/2020> and found representation theory to the a great project, but was wondering about whether we can contribute on something we like. I actually wish to add new functionalities related to functional analysis such as Inner Products, norm of a functional(or rather norm in general) , bounded linear operators or equations such Integral Equations in the sage math environment, I feel it would be a great addition to the existing software and would also help understanding Mathematics in a deeper sense. However, if that's not possible, if you have suggestions about related projects which seems well-suited for me it would be great. Thanking you, Gaurav. *Stay safe from corona! * -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "sage-gsoc" group.
