Dear Bahar,

Thank you for your interest. I would suggest getting familiar with
the developer guide

  https://doc.sagemath.org/html/en/developer/index.html

(what’s the coding standard, how to use git and trac, etc.).

Furthermore, I think it would be good to make a small contribution
to SageMath in order to learn about our development process. You can
see open tickets on our trac server:

  https://trac.sagemath.org

Best,
Vincent

Dear Sage contributors,
I am interested in Sage open-source software and i will start reading the
documentation. I just wanted to introduce myself and to ask if we can
contact mentors any other way except this mailing list? IRC?
I am a physics master student in freie university of berlin. interested in
mathematics, programming and physics. I work in software testing for 2.5
years. would be happy if i also can become part of community and contribute
to this open-source software.
Best Regards,
Bahar
