Do we not have a deprecation policy? Sage 5.0 from May of this year
allows the option open_viewer with no warning whatsoever; Sage 5.4 from
November acts like it's never heard of the option before.


Does this message not appear when you use the open_viewer option?

ValueError: The require_login and open_viewer parameters are no longer supported. Please use automatic_login=True to automatically log in as admin, or use automatic_login=False to not automatically log in.

You're right that it's not a deprecation (in that it did stop working). It does try to be helpful about what needs to change, though.
