[This is an obvious plug - sharp-eyed viewers will notice that the licence plate on Sweet Tooth reads "989 SDO"] The girls get snacks and Big Gulps from the store, as the demented midgets swarm around the van, pumping gas and polishing the chrome. As the girls exit the store, Ceres informs the others that Zirconia expects them to do a mass dream mirror extraction at an upcoming community dance. The girls stroll up to Sweet Tooth for their ride back to the circus, as Needles walks to the front of the van and pats the hood... Needles: Pop the hood! The little clown with the wire-rimmed glasses flips an unmarked switch on Sweet Tooth's dash, and the windshield wipers start going... Needles: [looking annoyed] The HOOD?! The little clown flips another switch, and an anti-vehicle rocket launches from the front of Sweet Tooth, just missing Needles' head, and destroys a wood-paneled station wagon parked nearby. As the blazing station wagon's car alarm whines, Needles glowers at the now sheepish little clown through the windshield. The girls watch as the wrecked station wagon burns down to the rims... Pallas: Gee, I hope you guys are insured! Elsewhere, Mina informs our heroines that she's taken a part-time job, and Serena pipes up saying that she wants a job too. Mina says that she'd be happy to hook her up. The other girls look rather dismayed as they imagine Serena& Mina working a job... They imagine a scene from the "I Love Lucy" episode "Switching Jobs" - where Lucy& Ethel work at a candy conveyer belt that goes too fast for them; The stock footage is digitally altered so that the actresses playing Serena& Mina are in the place of Lucille Ball& Vivian Vance. Their cheeks are puffed out from the bon-bons they're hiding because they couldn't wrap them fast enough. Their manager enters the scene... manager: Well, you girls look like you're doing a fine job. SPEED IT UP, OTTO!!! Serena& Mina's eyes bug out as the conveyer belt REALLY gets going. Now they have to throw bon-bons down their shirt fronts to get rid of them, as the audience scream with laughter. But the job Mina's talking about is just volunteer work, decorating the local community center for an upcoming community dance. The other girls find themselves shanghaied into helping. Little do they know that the disguised Quartet is also working in the community center. The gang of volunteers busily sets up the decorations in the center's auditorium. Serena is on a rafter 20 feet off the floor trying to tack up a banner. She can't get far enough out on the rafter because she's afraid of the height. Serena mutters, "OOoooooo! 'I must not fear, Fear is the mind killer, Fear is the little death that brings total oblivion!" Raye drags her back off the rafter and tries to tack up the banner herself. But she too isn't much for heights either. Suddenly a high, squeaky voice tells Serena& Raye to stop screwing around and hoist the banner. It's Mina - she's been blowing up balloons and taking hits off the helium tank. Seeing the girls struggling with their fear, the disguised Juno& Ceres decide to help. Using their skills as an aerialist and a high-wire artist, the girls scale ropes and rafters like monkeys, and tack up the banner with little effort. Juno& Ceres get applause from the other volunteers. Soon our heroines and the disguised Quartet are helping eachother with the projects. Amy& Pallas direct overall efforts, Mina& Ceres arrange flowers together, Raye& Vesta hang streamers, and Lita& Juno use their strength together to winch up a sign. With the work all done, they break and have a lunch of sandwiches and tea, like a group of new friends. On the night of the dance, all of the girls return to the auditorium to work at the refreshment tables, coat checks, and help the DJ. As the dance goes on, the disguised members of the Quartet ask their new friends about their dreams for the future. Mina says she wants to be star, an idol of millions. Raye wants to be successful in business. Lita wants her own restaurant. Amy wants to follow her mother and become a pediatrician. Serena just wants to marry Darien, and have a little girl of her own. [Serena& Reenie smile at eachother knowingly] The disguised Quartet members say that they think that those girls are so sad in wanting to grow up. They say that they never want to grow up. Now with the dance in full swing, it's time for the Quartet to do the job they came to do. Transforming into their circus costumes, the Quartet wheels out a prop cannon that fires, and knocks out all the dancers' dream mirrors. None of them is the golden mirror. The girls were not effected by cannon blast, and transform into the Sailor Scouts to confront the Quartet. The Quartet summons a electric catfish lemure, and the battle is joined. With Sailor Moon& Teenie Moon dealing with the lemure, the Quartet and the other Scouts square off against eachother; Jupiter brawls with Juno, Venus fights Ceres, Mercury chases Pallas, and Mars& Vesta duel with eachother. Finally, Sailor Moon& Teenie Moon destroy the lemure, and the rest of the Quartet escapes. On the other side of the mirror, Queen Neherenia receives the news of the Quartet's last failure rather pragmatically... "There isn't much time left. The Earth is to be mine. If they don't succeed soon, I will have to do it myself." She looks up to see an unconscious figure suspended in some kind of web-like material. The figure is Elios, the winged unicorn's human form.
