Dear Val, Thank you very much for your warm wishes on the occasion of my 42 nd Ordination Anniversary and launching of the book " Land of the sal Tree." The book that was to be written was placed in the hands of Mae de Deus four years back and when I had completed the work and the book and was in the press I went to Saligao church and thanked Our Lady It was more than a month ago. But then I was getting sick off and on and I was not in the best frame of mind to go or not.. I was not in the best shape to go for the launch of book hoiwever three body-guards from Margoa accompanied me to Saligao including Fr. I have just seen a copy and I must say that it looks really great! Congratulations and a big thank you to you for all the efforts you have taken in collecting material, researching, interviewing and writing so much all these years, ever since your first essay "Miku My Friend - A Tribute" posted to SaligaoNet (courtesy Daniel de Souza) on August 22, 2001. Congratulations also to Mel D'Souza (his illustrations in the book are absolutely delightful!), Frederick Noronha, Valmiki Faleiro and everyone else who contributed to making this book a reality. Fr.
