VM mentioned that both he and his wife, Noreen (Carneiro), had studied at the school, and had in-fact been partnered for the kiddies' mando festival many years ago, before deciding to settle down in real life!
VM and Noreen are in their 'thirties, and recently took the bold step of shifting with their two young kids to resettle in Goa. Some of you might know VM, who lived on the Arrarim main-road leading from the last 'voltar' in Saligao to the fountain. Noreen is one of the Carneiro sisters, which includes Kareena, Lisa, Iona (sorry I've missed one or two names), some of whom would have studied with us in school. Their home is close to the Donvaddo chapel and Marjorie-Jennifer-Alan Figuereido's.
I'm sure people like VM and Noreen have a lot to contribute, in terms of their skills, to the school, if only we ask. VM worked in New York, Europe and elsewhere in a number of prominent positions, including as a young deputy managing editor for the Earth Times newspaper that was read by many within the United Nations circuit.
Who says they don't make leaders in Saligao ;-) FN
