can you check the version of that MFC42U.DLL file? And what
the version of
                MFC42.DLL is too?

                Cool!

I am also having a slight problem installin this.. I going
to reboot the NT
server its being used on just incase.. but I am getting a
message about

"The ordinal 6466 could not be located in the dynamic link
Library
                MFC42u.dll"

this had a header of "OleMainThreadwndName: GLJ16.tmp -

port connection
                test (BETA)

Compare this to a TCP check that connects to
the port and if
                the connection
works flags it as being up.

With UDP you can't connect to a port, so the
most used way
                to check a UDP
port is to send something to the UDP port
and IF you get an
                ICMP frame back
saying that the port is unreachable then you
assume it as
                being down. If
you don't get anything back you assume it as
being up. BUT
                most firewalls
for example will stop that ICMP frame from
coming through
                and thus it will
look like all UDP ports that you check
through a firewall
                are up. That's
also in the readme file that is included
with the install.

                                Dirk.
