Hi,
I have tried several different ways of configuring the CountFiles.ini to cause the CountFiles.exe to check a folder on a remote machine on the same network and can’t seem to get it to work. Below is what I have in the ini file:
[Invirus] Path=”C:\Program Files\Salive\External\” Pattern=*.* Directory=E:\spool\invirus Username=*********** (username changed to protect the innocent) Password=*********** (password changed to protect the innocent) Server=###.###.###.### (IP Address of server) (there is a blank line here at the end of the file)
I’m assuming the “path” is the path on the local machine (the machine where Servers Alive resides, and the path to the directory where CountFiles.exe and CountFiles.ini reside)? I’m assuming the “Directory” is the directory on the remote machine that I want to check?
When I set up the “External check” within Servers Alive, I put the full path to the CountFiles.exe (C:\Program Files\Salive\External\CountFiles.exe) into the box, is this correct or should this file reside on the remote machine?
As you can tell, I’ve confused myself terrible on this! Any assistance would be appreciated!
Thanks Mike
