Normaly if you can see services you should be able to see the perfmon
counters too.
Can you see the remote perfmon counters via the performance monitor (of
NT/Win2K)?

Dirk,

Yes I can see services. Are there any special options that I need to
enable on these?

Paul

Viktor,

I think that the perfmon is easier to program and is better on the NT
security point of view as creating or even using the system shares exposes
all those nasty NT security problems. I have got approx 50 Disk checks so
far across a European sized WAN. Over such distances the Perfmon check
seems to be proving much quicker that a connect to share and the getting
the space.

The only problem I am having right now is that some servers will not let me
retrieve the counters so can't check them properly right now.

Dirk,

Do you have any idea's, Servers Alive can connect to the server okay, but
the drop down box and the list box are all empty.

Paul

Hello Paul,

Yes, its much better, except if you have a like 40 of them.
Are you gonna setup alerts on each server? :-)

And i do checks on other services, I have a support guys 24/7 and they
watching everything from web interface. They have troubleshooting
instruction for each
type of service.

In my case SA is better.
