On the XP box, make sure you duplicate your setup exactly as you've
got it on the 2000 box. Go into Setup, and on the Startup tab, check
"Load command line information from registry", and the /start
checkbox. Make sure the file name is correct in the host file name
box, like this:

"C:\Program Files\Salive\default.txt"

It's possible that on the XP box you've got a long file name with spaces
in it, and you've gotta make sure to put the quote marks around it.
To be sure, use the three-period browse button to the right of the
host file name. If you've got any doubts, put a copy of your host
file in your root directory (like c:\) and try that file name, like
c:\hostfile.txt, and see if that works. If it does, then you've got
the wrong file name in there.
