Go to http://www.wtcs.org/snmp4tpc/, browse through the info and get a copy of GetIf.  This will let you walk the SNMP tree for your devices.  There are two sites I use to get SNMP info - http://www.somix.com/support/mib_resources.php and http://www.mibdepot.com/index.shtml.   Once you have the OID you want to monitor use Getif to find it and whether or not it has a value.  Not all will actually return values.  BackupExec, at least the last version I looked at, only supports sending traps not monitoring via OID.     -Kevin -----Original Message----- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of Ted Mosher Sent: Friday, March 14, 2003 10:50 AM To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Subject: [SA-list] SNMP Checks Does anyone know any good documentation for SNMP or is there any more documentation on SA’s monitoring of it  – I want to just watch a few items on a Compaq server (Power Supply and RAID controller and Backup Exec and I have some OID’s but cannot seem to get anything to work.   Ted Mosher Partner Aztech Consulting Group, LLC www.aztechgroup.com
