Before I got started on the journey of doing web reporting for SA, I agreed with you. I used to think I wanted SA's configuration to be stored in SQL. However, since I started doing ODBC-based reporting templates, I've come to realize that there's not a lot of us users who are truly SQL-savvy enough to do our own updating by hand. Nothing against the other folks in this email list, but - well, let's just say if I was Dirk, I don't think I'd want people to be hand-editing their configurations in SQL, and then running into the group complaining about why SA doesn't work. Lemme get this straight: a text file is too complex, and ODBC is going to make it easier? Hahaha. I know what you mean, but for most users, SQL isn't exactly a walk in the park. Would I pay money for the ability to do it? Sure, but the number of us who would pay, and the amount we would pay, probably wouldn't merit it. I'd say offhand that I'd pay an extra $200 for it, but I'm sure I'm in the minority. -- BrentO To unsubscribe from a list, send a mail message to [EMAIL PROTECTED] With the following in the body of the message: unsubscribe SAlive
