Suggest you can do a ping hostname and see what your system (which host SAlive) resolved it to. Perhaps your system still "remember" the old ip.
This could due to system internal cache or the static entry in your system local host file. In the past, we use IP as the hostname to do the checks. Recently, all our servers has changed their IP address and I have decided to use hostname to do the checks. All the checks went well with all servers with the exception of one. If I use IP to do the test, it works fine. If I use hostname to do the check, it says authentication error, with error 1219 appearing in the log. Can someone tell me what's wrong? Thanks.
