Can I ask what's meant by running the app & service? Are you referring to SA and saying that it should be ran on the server as both app and service?

And does it show that it's trying to send mail?

Running app and service at the same time will give problems.
Run OR the service OR the app, not both.

I tried to send over the log file but it failed. In a sentence the log files seem to show everything as failing.

I'm running ver5.0.1748 and I am running the app and service at the same?  I think.

What does the logfile show?
What exact version?

Subject: [SA-list] Servers Alive not alive at ALL!!!

Since upgrading to ver5 I no longer get consistent paging when servers go down. I log in and see orange and red alerts in the console. The only emails I get state:

Servers Alive stopped (SA servername)
Servers Alive Keep Alive mail (SA servername)

What gives? I've tested and confirmed that the emails listed as the Prmary & Alternates are working. The test email arrives in Outlook but nothing arrives when a server goes down. I have the options set to email when a server goes down and when it comes back up. These are the same for monitoring disk space, server pings, processes, and services. I expect this to happen and for the name of the server to be included in the email. Is there something I'm missing here?

ANY urgent responses are appreciated.
