That's already in the file as I am able to login as root. I'm not able to upload as root, that's the problem.

However it seems that some of them are not 100% "correctly" configured for what we want to do. And as my *nix/bsd knowledge is a little limited I was wondering if anybody could give me some "light"? I have a Debian 3.1 image running, it has an FTP server installed (ProFTP) and I can access the system via FTP. However the user that I'm using (root) is NOT able to write/upload, how can this be changed? Also by default as a user I get into my "user" directory (I suppose?).
