The point is that making this is something that take a long time (it's not just stripping down SA, it's creating a totally new tool), and I do have to look at the economic reality of it and I don't see an economic value in it. (you say just winsock and service/process, but most people will want a ping too for example, and for alerting some will want mail and other will want IM and... And basicly you get back to SA :-))
