I've been looking into various front ends for RRDTool. There are loads of them
out there, but they all seem to have at least one of two problems:

a) They're Unix based (which for us Windows types is useless);
b) They're much too complex - designed to collect the data as well as display
it, requiring MySQL databases or whatever (which for those of us who already
get the data collected by SA is gross overkill).

Does anyone know of a reasonably simple GUI front end to RRDTool that doesn't
have these limitations? In a perfect world, what I'd love to be able to do is
this:

1. Select (in an app or on a web page) an SA check
2. Select what results to graph (response time, check result, up/down)
3. Select what period to graph over (hour/day/week etc)
4. Optionally modify things like scale, colour, legend, size, additional
variables
5. Create that graph on the fly and display it.

I'm not a programmer so I hesitate to pontificate, but it strikes me that such
a thing shouldn't be *too* hard to do.

Thoughts, anyone?

Cheers,

Ian
