\\server\cif_share (file://server/cif_share) worked for me on a BlueArc NAS
system.  I didn't need to map the drive to a server just put the share name
in the check config with the proper credentials.  I would guess the vFiler is
similar.

For us this was a case of SA, once again, solving an issue the big names
couldn't...  MS MOM requires WMI, SNMP didn't report the share level
only the filesystem level, and others not seeing the shares at all.  Sitescope
for one would have required us to mount each share to a server and monitor
that.

But was thinking of mapping a drive to the CIF share on the box running SAlive
and then check diskspace like \\server\cif_share.
Is that possible?

euh…..

Is it possible to access this system via SSH?  If so then it should be possible
via the *nix DF addon.

Subject: [SA-list] How to Check Disk Drive Space on a vFiler

Dirk,
Is there a way I can use SAlive to check the disk space on a vFiler (to be
precise an IBM N6070).
I have CIF shares on it and will like to be alerted if the disk space for a
share is below 15%.

Thanks
