That rings a bell. Thanks Dirk.
I think Ian mentioned it a few days back – so I’ll echo this sentiments, it would sure be nice to have the email archive available again? ;) Cheers Barry From: Dirk Bulinckx [mailto:d...@woodstone.nu] Sent: February-03-10 4:56 AM To: Servers Alive Discussion List Subject: RE: [SA-list] Speeding up host check cycle I think you're talking about this setting: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\DBU Consulting\Servers Alive\StartUp\ PerItemCycle (string) values above 5000 are changed to 5000 value of 0 becomes 1000 values below 10 become 10 dirk. From: Servers Alive Discussion List [mailto:sal...@woodstone.nu] On Behalf Of Barry George Sent: Tuesday, February 02, 2010 7:06 PM To: Servers Alive Discussion List Subject: [SA-list] Speeding up host check cycle I’m tweaking a band new install of SA onto another box. I’ve run the same SA install for years on an older platform. I seem to remember that there was an introduction of the Reg key that greatly speed up host checking. I don’t seem to find that in the 6.2 doc (or I missed it more likely). Checking seems to be running a lot slower on this new install than I remember in the past incarnation. Also and FYI for your future documentation Dirk.
