Sure. This would be a good thing to have. I am in a 911 dispatch center that is 
geographically split and we have multiple routes between the sites. This would 
be a great indicator of a hop going down, and verification that the rerouting 
took place, mainly for the radio  transmit sites;
-routed changed: destination reachable
-routed changed: destination unreachable
-no change: destination unreachable
-no change: destination reachable

check that checks the route and "saves" it and gives a down if the
"current" route is different from the "previous" route.
