Update: the client still disconnects from the SA service frequently but I have discovered that it will reconnect without restarting the service. It just takes 15 to 20 seconds to connect. This is not so much a problem as it is curiosity as to whether this is an expected occurrence or an indication of an underlying correctable issue.
