Hi, I think I must be one of the 'silent minority' as I've never posted
anything to 'sam-users' before (better late than never). I put a couple of
things up on the FTP site as 'incoming' but it doesn't look as if anyone can
download from that directory. So if anyone is interested in either of the
two zips then let me know and I'll e-mail a copy. The fist is 'amrad.zip'
which is a bit specialised as it's a Programm for Radio amateurs and short
wave listeners to send and receive Slow Scan Television (SSTV), FAX, Radio
Teletype (RTTY) and CW (Morse), some modes need the Sambus clock as it runs
in test mode and delivers the timing signals. Amrad can also control a TNC
which is a sort of microcomputer controlled radio terminal. Though this mode
can also be used to communicate through a modem (at a push) and has been
used to link two sams with the other running COMIX. The TNC mode has the
advantage that is has local echo which I think was misssing on COMIX. The
package also contains a logging program for radio contacts (and it's Y2K
tested wow!) The second zip file is SCPRINT23 which is a PC Programm to List
a directory of a '.dsk' image and then print open type files to the PC
printer. The main use is with simcoupe/wincoupe which I think still doesn't
support the pc printer directly. If you 'list' a basic Programm to an open
type file on the '.dsk' image with simcoupe it still contains all of Sams
tokens for key words, SCPRINT recognises these and prints a normal listing
to the PC printer. There are probably better ways of doing things but it
works.

Even if a bit late, happy new year to all Sam-users.

Ian
