I had a few brief dabbles when you first started up your archive, got a few simple games running, wouldn`t mind having a good look at it properly, if you can run the software that Id`ve used on PCW`s at school.

Good luck getting something sorted regarding Atom support :) For now, would it be possible/helpful to knock up in MasterBasic a front end and file requester, to allow you to select certain files, or images and put them in RAM Drive. This might help going through them, browsing? Are Prodos disks on normal SAMDos format? or in a CP/M format, as you could even build up virtual disks (from many) then bang em in the RAM, before launching Prodos, which could be beneficial? Let me know if I`m talking bollocks again :)

    Hi All,

My wish list would be that Pro-Dos 1.9 could be patched to work
    with Atom/
    Atom Lite.

At the moment Pro-Dos works fine with Atom and Atom Lite with an A
    drive as
Floppy and RAM as RAM Drive B. But it would be great if the CP/M
    emulation
in Pro-Dos could see the Atom as another drive and access Atom
    Records. I do
not have the skills to do this, someone out there might have is
    there any
chance of this? Or if some is will to *point me* in the right
    direction I
might try over the next year!

    I'm I the only person that uses Pro-Dos? ;-)

I like Pro-Dos and just for the challenge I once tried to see if I could get CPM working in the Sam Environment. In fact, as I remember I did get a few things to work. My disks were corrupted by mould and damp and are now useless and I no longer can find any notes. I think I paged in what I called a "CPM ROM" in place of the SAM ROM to enable programs to begin at address 100h, and code at address 5 (where system functions are called from) jumped to other code in section D which attempted to simulate the CPM system functions by calling the SAM ROM as required. A: referred to the SAM disk drive
and C: to a Master Dos Ram Disk.
It was starting to work, but I never finished it, as my Sam packed up,and I now use SimCoupe.

I imagine it can be done if someone wants to take it on.

Yours,
John Avis
