I got as far as discovering that "SAM Coupé diskimage Manager v1.12 by Edwin Blink" would allow you to liberate the files from the Sam disk image to a Windows PC; there must then be a tool for throwing them onto a Spectrum TAP or DSK.
I'll give it another shot - definately got to be worth a try :)
