One other thing, there used to be a loopback adaptor with Win95, does it
exist in Win98? Try to add an adaptor and select loopback adaptor.
That would get around the localhost issue as well.

Your browser tells your Internet to connect. Go into your browser and
tell it not to try to connect when you open it.

Localhost....

Hi, How can I use "localhost" OFF-line ???

Ive got Sambar up & running, & my flatmate uses the phone a bit, Which
i
need to be off-line / not connected to the net...

However I disconnect the connection & try to use
http://localhost/(whatever)...

& it always tries to Connect ...

Is that the purpoise of localhost - To use OFF-LINE ??

I'm on Win 98. Is there a way to make it available OFF-LINE ??

Or am i totally missing the whole point of "localhost" ??

G.
