Hi Dave,

I experience the same with my ISP. The problem is the length of the copper wire from 
my home to the next knot. I 'm using a small peace of software called "flatserver" - 
it's freeware. For the reset of the DSL modem I use a masterswitch from APC so that I 
can cut the electricity from my office. A friend of mine is using his telefon bridge 
to turn on and off the power.
